Aging
Aging is an unalterable and unavoidable fact. The degenerative process starts in the brain, spreads throughout the body, infiltrating every cell and producing all the familiar physical and mental signs of age. It is not only about getting old and gray hairs, It’s about your sleep pattern your mental health your physical health. It’s about your hearing power eye sight. It’s about your cardiac health and overall muscle bone and nerve that goes into aging. it also affects our skin, hair and body. We get blemishes and wrinkles due to aging. Sometimes we have dark spots. We have hair loss too.
There is no age confined to getting old. Some people get old immediately after 35 and some are so young even at 60.
Signs of aging
Blood supply to heart and brain becomes slow. The wall of heart becomes less flexible. Joints become fragile and space between joint get reduced. We become more prone to infections due to low immunity. Digestive system becomes week and constipation develops. Muscle tissues has less elasticity. Connective tissues between cells becomes hard. Skin becomes dull and wrinkled. Hair and Nail growth becomes slow. Hearing power decreases. Vision gets affected, your memory falters. weakness generalised in body. Balance deteriorate, Proprioception decreases.
Aging is unlikely to happen in our lifetime, but taking responsibility of your own health should be your first priority if you want to preserve your looks from the advancing years. To decrease sign and symptoms of aging at every level, here are few ways to keep your body feeling as young as possible.
1. Antioxidants They help to build collagen. Foods like cherry, walnut strawberry helps in glowing of the skin. Citrus foods like oranges, capsicum and green chilies are full of antioxidants which helps in shining and glowing of the skin.
2. Isopheleynol It helps to decrease osteoporosis. It reduces risk of cardio vascular diseases. Food like soybean, legumes, peanut, green leafy vegetables like kale broccoli spinach and amaranth reduces aging.
3. Nuts They contain fats that are good for our body. They decreases bad cholesterol in body and increases good cholesterol in body.
4. Vitamin E Vitamin E helps in building collagen tissue in muscle. It Increases secretion of oil glands in joints. Food like honey and avocado helps in reducing wrinkles on face and helps in toning up of face.
5. Pomegranate It contains acids that protects skin from blemishes and scar formation.
6. Iron level We need to increase the iron level in the body as we grow old. Food like beet root, spinach, carrot s contains iron therefore should be consumed more. If food is cooked in iron vessel it gives plenty of iron to body.
7. Turmeric It is a spice that helps in increasing immunity and decreasing inflammation.
8. Alkaline water Stomach is the cause of most of the diseases. Acidity is like a demon in our body. Drinking alkaline water helps in decreasing acidity. Cucumber over night soaked in water is a good alkaline drink.
9. Sleep Good sleep is very essential. We should eat before sunset. Eat light dinner and less calorie food. Walk at least half an hour after dinner.
10 Balance diet It plays very important role in maintaining good health and delaying aging. Adequate amount of calcium and vitamins are required by the body. Balanced diet helps in maintaining good energy level of body.
11.Stress It is very important factor in increasing tissue wear and tear. Yoga and meditation helps in decreasing stress in body. Pranayam work wonders in increasing balance between mind and body.
